Suzie G Case Study

Client & Challenge

Vivid Image was asked by the up and coming jewellery designer Suzie Gallagher, to launch her inaugural collection. Our remit was to create the branding, online presence, lookbook and packaging.

Solution

Suzie's aim was to sell her jewellery to the Kings Road crowd but was unsure how to go about it. We started off by looking at the target audience and the emerging trends of multi-layered bohemian styles and with the festival season approaching, this look and lifestyle was our chance to reach the demographic.

This free spirited free flowing outdoor vibe evoked a gypsy feel and with the obvious references to trinkets and coins in the designs, this seemed the ideal theme for Suzie's collection.

The first step was to title the collection, we soon settled on 'The Gypsy Baby Collection' giving it a youthful and approachable moniker. From this came the easily recognisable, relaxed and handwritten Suzie G logo.

In order for us to reach the target audience, we had to create an attractive and memorable website. The result was a fast loading, high-resolution full-screen video, re-scalable to any size taking the visitor on an Alice in Wonderland style journey. This showed the jewellery at a distance and then up close, simulating a real life experience.

To monetize the experience our resident design gurus created a flash ecommerce shopping tool, which enabled customers to view the bracelets on an attractive rotational wheel. Once selected, each bracelet could be fully customised by clicking on the charm you want and dragging to the area of the bracelet you want it to be placed. This enabled the customers to create their own unique Suzie G bracelet.

To complete the project VI designed handmade packaging in the form of stylized cotton and silk pouches that reflect the opulence of the jewellery and the style of Gypsies.

Result

The result was a stylish brand, magical website and unique packaging, creating an established exciting and memorable brand that is Suzie G.
